## Description

Fundación 26 de Diciembre is a Spanish non-profit organization dedicated to working with and for older LGTBIQ+ people. Its mission is to support dignity, inclusion and visibility, creating opportunities for connection across generations and helping older people live free from discrimination. The Foundation serves approximately 800 people each year and operates in Madrid and Galicia.

Its services include specialised psychosocial and psychological care, advice and assistance with procedures, employment support, socialisation activities, domestic care, and sexual health and HIV services. The Foundation also offers training in diversity and ageing, alongside courses, workshops, conferences, excursions and other community events. Its work extends to research, publications and a bibliographic repository focused on LGTBIQ+ topics. To preserve community history, it maintains an Archive of Affective Memories and organises initiatives such as the “Our Legacy” literary award. The Foundation provides community spaces and a residence in Madrid, and invites people to participate through membership, volunteering, donations and its solidarity shop. It also promotes awareness and learning about older LGTBIQ+ people among broader audiences.
