## Description

Fundacja Intensywnej Terapii Dziecięcej (ITD) is a Polish foundation based in Poznań, dedicated to supporting intensive care for children. Its central goal is to help create a modern pediatric intensive care unit equipped to treat patients in life-threatening condition, from birth until they reach 18 years of age. The unit it supports is part of the Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań. It cares for children from the Wielkopolskie, Lubuskie, and Zachodniopomorskie regions.

The foundation helps improve the unit’s capacity to provide care by supporting its expansion and purchasing specialist medical equipment. Past purchases include a regional anesthesia system and an echocardiography probe for critically ill children; the foundation also reports funding more than PLN 850,000 in specialist equipment. Its work builds on a pediatric intensive care unit established in 1972 and reflects a commitment to giving medical teams better resources to help save children’s lives.
