## Description

Fundacja OPES139 is a Polish foundation based in Tarnów that supports parents and families coping with the loss of a child before or around birth. Its work is grounded in compassionate, practical care, offering reassurance to people navigating grief and difficult decisions. The foundation provides guidance on miscarriage in hospital or at home, parents’ rights, funeral arrangements and symbolic burials. It also connects families with psychological and spiritual support, information about understanding the causes of a loss, and assistance following adverse prenatal test results.

Beyond direct help for parents, OPES139 shares resources for medical professionals on supporting families after a loss. It organizes support groups, meetings, workshops and conferences, and promotes opportunities for remembrance, including memorial plaques, a virtual book of remembrance and a photography exhibition. The foundation also publishes educational and reflective materials, such as talks, homilies and guidance on life after loss. People can support its work through donations, volunteering and other forms of assistance.
