Description

Fort Worth AYA Oncology Coalition (FWAYAOC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged 15 to 39 who have been diagnosed with cancer. Comprising healthcare professionals, AYA cancer survivors, families, advocates, and volunteers, FWAYAOC works in collaboration with medical experts, patients, and donors to change the trajectory of AYAs affected by cancer. FWAYAOC offers specialized AYA cancer care, including patient navigation and education, provider education and awareness, comprehensive psychosocial services, and peer-to-peer activities and support.


They also conduct interventional and outcome research. Through community partnerships and generous donations, FWAYAOC ensures that every AYA in the Fort Worth community has access to the specialized care, comprehensive resources, and age-relevant support they need. FWAYAOC's team includes April Mitchell as the Executive Director, Rachel Manning as the Program Manager, Elena Wright as a Nurse Navigator, Brittany C.


Hall as a Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Karen Albritton as the Founder and Healthcare Advisor. With their expertise and dedication, FWAYAOC strives to provide hope, specialized medical care, connectivity, and education to AYAs and their families
