## Description

The Society for the Conservation of Old and Endangered Livestock Breeds (GEH) is a renowned brand that offers valuable information on the preservation of old and endangered livestock breeds. Established in 1981 by livestock scientists and biologists in Bavaria, GEH has grown to have over 2100 members nationwide. Its members include practical farmers, livestock breeders, professionals from the agricultural industry, biologists, veterinarians, and individuals passionate about biodiversity. GEH aims to promote the diversity and conservation of livestock breeds. They provide resources such as the Ark Project, which involves preserving and promoting endangered breeds through various initiatives and partnerships. GEH also publishes a member magazine called Arche Nova that keeps members informed about conservation efforts and features articles on relevant topics. In addition, GEH maintains a Red List of endangered poultry and rabbit breeds, and they annually choose a Endangered Livestock Breed of the Year to draw attention to endangered species. The brand also organizes events and provides a marketplace for trading livestock and offers a range of books and articles related to their cause. By becoming a member or making a donation, you can contribute to GEH's efforts in conserving and protecting these precious and vulnerable livestock breeds. So join the GEH community and play your part in preserving the rich heritage of our ancient and endangered livestock breeds.
