## Description

G1R:MP is an independent, non-commercial fan project that adds community multiplayer to Gothic 1 Remake. Its free modification provides a technical foundation for players to meet in the Valley of Mines and experience the game world together, while leaving the original game intact. Public Release 0.1.6 uses Protocol 38 and offers a Windows x64 player client, along with dedicated server builds for Windows x64 and Linux x64. Players can join community worlds or host their own without platform lock-in, shaping servers around roleplay, cooperative play, factions, stories, or other community-created formats. G1R:MP does not sell access or include the game itself; users need a legitimate copy of Gothic 1 Remake to play. The project also provides a wiki, FAQ, forum, and server information to help players get started and connect with the community. G1R:MP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Alkimia Interactive or THQ Nordic.
