## Description

Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is a UK-registered charity dedicated solely to the conservation and responsible stewardship of the Galapagos Archipelago. Founded in 1995, it brings together conservationists, local communities, governments and businesses to protect the islands and surrounding ocean. GCT translates scientific research into practical conservation action, addressing climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution while putting people at the heart of its work.

Its programmes include restoring Floreana by tackling invasive species and supporting the return of missing wildlife, reducing plastic pollution, expanding marine protection and researching safer seas for wildlife. The Trust also works with local authorities, tourism businesses and communities to promote tourism that supports both nature and people. Environmental education initiatives provide opportunities and bilingual resources for young people across the populated islands.

People can support GCT through donations, regular giving, animal adoption, volunteering, events, raffles and corporate partnerships. The organisation also offers educational resources, research and reports, news, a magazine, a photography competition, a cruise, citizen-science opportunities and Galapagos-themed merchandise.
