## Description

GalAthletics Bellinzona is a major track and field meeting based in Bellinzona, in Switzerland’s Ticino region. Building on the legacy of the historic Galà dei Castelli, the event brings leading Swiss and international athletes to the Stadio Comunale for an evening of competition and entertainment. The 2026 meeting is scheduled for August 30, with a programme featuring high-profile track and field disciplines, including sprinting and pole vault and high jump events. Organizers describe the meeting as one of the most prestigious in Swiss and international athletics. Its previous edition featured 220 medal-winning athletes, including seven Olympic champions, 21 world champions and 11 European champions.

The organization promotes athletics across Ticino and Switzerland, supporting both competitive sport and broader participation. Its website provides event information, programme and prize-money details, news, media resources, statistics and records, and an archive of past editions. Visitors can also find information about the Kid’s Gala, the organization’s mission and values, volunteering, membership and sponsors.
