With over 50 years of combined experience, the gallery was founded in 2019 by Daniel Wahrenberger, Claudius Ochsner, and Thomas Schafflützel. Wahrenberger established Galerie Wahrenberger in 1994, focusing on contemporary painting. Ochsner and Schafflützel managed Galerie Barr & Ochsner GmbH, founded in 1997 in Zürich and New York, specializing in classic modern and contemporary art. Galerie WOS aims to connect the 20th and 21st centuries through their collection, showcasing paintings, works on paper, sculptures, and photographs as a result of the art-historical development. They have organized exhibitions featuring renowned artists such as Picasso, Daniel Spoerri, and Friedrich Feichter. In addition to their exhibitions, Galerie WOS offers various services, including collection building, inventory management, representation at auctions, neutral purchasing advice, appraisals, authentication certificates, conservation and restoration consultations, framing, and art events.
