## Description

**Brand Description: GameLaunched**

Founded in 2014, GameLaunched emerged as a specialized crowdfunding platform dedicated exclusively to video games, distinguishing itself from broader platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. With a mission to support indie game developers worldwide, GameLaunched provided a unique funding model that allowed creators to retain 94% of the funds raised, significantly benefiting game development. The platform featured an innovative gamification approach, where backers could earn experience points for supporting projects, thereby fostering a community-centered funding experience.

GameLaunched not only facilitated the funding of diverse game projects, including hardware and supplementary software, but also featured a curated Launch Crew of industry professionals, offering invaluable feedback and exposure to indie developers. Through its engaging marketplace, creators were empowered to showcase their skills and creations. Although GameLaunched ultimately closed its doors, it played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of crowdfunding for video games, leaving a legacy of notable projects, including the acclaimed "Ostrich Island."
