## Description

GAMM e.V., or the Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, is an esteemed interdisciplinary network founded in 1922 by prominent figures, including Ludwig Prandtl and Richard von Mises. With a central focus on advancing research in applied mathematics and mechanics, GAMM plays a pivotal role in fields such as fluid dynamics, solid mechanics, and numerical mathematics.

The organization hosts an annual conference that gathers up to 1,200 participants for scholarly exchange. GAMM's dedication to scientific development is evident through its specialized committees that foster collaboration and address pressing issues in applied mathematics and mechanics. Furthermore, GAMM actively supports early-career researchers via initiatives like the GAMM Junior program, which recognizes outstanding young scientists and promotes networking through workshops and events.

In addition to organizing conferences, GAMM publishes several prestigious journals and newsletters that contribute to the academic community. As a nonprofit organization, GAMM focuses solely on scientific advancement without commercial interests, advocating for members at national and international forums.
