## Description

Gammelvala is a vibrant cultural event held annually in Brunskog, Värmland, offering visitors a unique journey into the past. Celebrated as "the week of the old world," Gammelvala captures the essence of traditional agricultural life, inviting attendees to experience the sounds and aromas reminiscent of simpler times. This engaging week, scheduled for July 19-24, 2025, features a variety of activities including exhibitions, live performances, and thematic days such as Hembygdens Day, Garden Day, and Children's Day.

Central to the Gammelvala experience is the Byskolan, where visitors can participate in lessons and games alongside local “schoolchildren.” A highlight of the event is the Frödingspelet, a unique play performed only during Gammelvala week, showcasing historical figures and tales from the area.

Additionally, attendees can explore Brunskogs Hembygdsgård, one of Värmland's largest heritage sites, which hosts year-round activities. Gammelvala promises a delightful blend of history, culture, and community spirit for visitors of all ages.
