## Description

The Kenya Horticultural Society (KHS) is Kenya's premier organization dedicated to promoting gardening and environmentally sustainable horticultural practices. Established in 1923 and celebrating its centenary in 2023, the KHS brings together a diverse community of plant enthusiasts, ranging from professionals to beginners, who share a passion for flowers, trees, and green spaces. The society is committed to fostering biodiversity, preserving public parks, and addressing contemporary environmental concerns.

With ten districts across the country, KHS offers a wealth of resources and activities. Members enjoy an annual calendar filled with events such as garden visits, talks, plant sales, flower shows, and workshops. In addition, the KHS produces informative publications aimed at Kenyan gardeners and is currently launching the Kids Grow Kenya education program to instill a love of gardening in younger generations. By becoming a member, individuals join a vibrant community, deepen their horticultural knowledge, and contribute to meaningful environmental initiatives.
