## Description

**Brand Description: Gataket**

Gataket is Japan's largest all-genre doujinshi exhibition and sales event, held primarily in Niigata City since its inception in 1983. Celebrating over 40 years of creativity, Gataket has hosted numerous successful events, reaching significant milestones such as the 100th event in August 2008 and the 150th in March 2017. This vibrant marketplace invites creators and enthusiasts alike, offering opportunities for individuals to showcase and sell their self-produced works. Participants can join as exhibitors by securing a space to present their doujinshi or attend as general participants eager to discover and purchase unique creations. Additionally, Gataket embraces the community's love for cosplaying, providing a platform for fans to engage in costume play during events. The name "Gatakut" is derived from an abbreviation of "Niigata Comic Market," reflecting its rich local heritage. Organized by the Gataket Secretariat, this event continues to foster creativity and connection among artists and fans in the doujin culture.
