About
Description
Gate513 Films is a well-established Kuwaiti filmmaking brand founded by Meshari Almutawa. With a passion for storytelling, Meshari ventured into the world of cinema after graduating from California State University - Fullerton in 1999. His dedication led him to launch Innovation House, a successful media and marketing startup in Kuwait.
Inspired by the legendary Arab Hollywood director Mustapha Akkad, Meshari established Rawaj Productions to continue Mr. Akkad's cinematic legacy. Over the years, Gate513 Films has produced various compelling historical television shows, including the 60-episode series Khalid Ibn Alwaleed, Antara, The Black Knight, and Lawrence of Arabia.
They have also contributed to the creation of the breathtaking IMAX film Journey To Mecca. Since relocating to the United States in 2015, Meshari has been actively involved in the development of captivating movies such as Lifeline, distributed by XYZ Films. He has also spearheaded the launch of the first US-based Arab/Muslim film fund.
In 2021, Meshari founded Good Currency Studios, aiming to provide opportunities for Arab filmmakers in Hollywood. Gate513 Films continues to be a driving force in the film industry, delivering exceptional storytelling and captivating narratives.
