Gatesway Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The foundation was founded by Helen Gates, a compassionate individual who dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of those with intellectual disabilities. Helen's Story began in Brooklyn, New York, where she cherished memories of her family gathering around the piano and singing.

After marrying and living on the island of Aruba, she had her first child, Ronnie Lee Gates, who was later diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Motivated by her son's diagnosis, Helen created a network of parents facing similar challenges. In 1963, she opened the doors to Gatesway Foundation, providing opportunities for families and their loved ones to have a better life.

Today, Gatesway is one of the largest providers of residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in Oklahoma. Their mission is to promote independence and enhance the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to live and work within the community.
