# Gateway DSA - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `gatewaydsa.org` ## Description Gateway Down Syndrome Association (Gateway DSA), formerly the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis, is a nonprofit serving people with Down syndrome and their families in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Founded in 1976 by seven mothers, the organization now supports nearly 2,300 individuals and families. Its mission is to serve, support, and celebrate the Down syndrome community throughout every stage of life, with a vision of an inclusive community where people can reach their full potential. Gateway DSA offers family support beginning with prenatal diagnoses, including resources for expectant and new parents, a New Parent Support Network, workshops, support groups, and community groups. Programs are available in person and virtually for people of all ages and abilities, from early childhood through older adulthood. Offerings include Small Steps Therapy, Fusion Friday, Life Long Learning, Bingo, Improv, Rock 21, and employment programs.
