## Description

Florida Gators Rugby is the home of the University of Florida’s men’s and women’s intercollegiate rugby programs in Gainesville. The men’s club was founded in 1969 and the women’s in 1975; together, they welcome players at all experience levels, including those new to rugby. The teams compete under USA Rugby governance, playing sevens in the fall and fifteens in the spring. The men compete in CRAA Division 1AA and NCR sevens, while the women have earned back-to-back Florida State titles and the 2026 CRC D1AA Shield championship.

The organization’s website connects players, supporters, and alumni with schedules, rosters, coaching information, match results, club news, and program history. It also shares practice and match details, scholarship opportunities, and reports on team accomplishments. Alumni can join the University of Florida Rugby Alumni Association, attend annual events, share memories, and support the Florida Rugby Endowment. Direct donations and local business sponsorships also help sustain both programs.
