## Description

GAY45 is an independent queer journalism magazine covering politics, culture and the issues shaping LGBTQ+ lives. Its work spans reporting, essays, investigative journalism and long-form features, with stories from across the world. Coverage includes political shifts and their effects on queer communities, LGBT+ voting trends, threats to rights, and the role of public institutions. GAY45 also investigates criminal cases, safety, technology and the treatment of trans people, alongside broader questions of consent and justice.

The magazine’s cultural coverage explores pop culture, film and television, art, music, books and fashion, often through a queer or political lens. Its articles include reviews, commentary and reportage, as well as opinion pieces on topics such as artificial intelligence, corporate involvement in Pride and the direction of LGBT+ organisations. Readers can browse themed sections including Politics, Investigations, Pop Culture, Art, Music, Books and Long Read. GAY45 also publishes the Wednesday Dispatch newsletter, offering a fresh view of the week’s events and newsletter-exclusive content.
