## Description

The Gazeta de Algol is a Brazilian fan site dedicated to the Phantasy Star role-playing game series. Created in 2000 by Orakio Rob as a tribute to his favorite game, it grew into a gathering place for Brazilian fans and their community. Although regular updates have largely stopped, the site remains online as an archive of the community’s work and history.

Visitors can explore guides and detailed series overviews, information on classic games, spin-offs, remakes and newer titles, as well as fanfiction, fan art, fan games and fan films. The site also offers articles, theories, interviews, columns, timelines and curiosities about Phantasy Star. Its collection includes scans and downloads of rare Japanese books, including the Phantasy Star Compendium, which features creator interviews, artwork and additional series information. Other highlights include an interview with series creator Rieko Kodama and coverage of an alternate version of Phantasy Star II. The Gazeta’s blog and community news section are now mostly inactive, and the site points readers seeking current news and discussion to the Phantasy Star Brasil Facebook community.
