## Description

Gbca, the Galveston Bay Cruising Association, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality yacht racing events at minimal cost. With a current membership of around 150 members, Gbca has a rich history that dates back to 1947. From its humble beginnings as the Stout Fella Organization of Galveston Bay, Gbca has evolved into a thriving club that organizes a variety of races and social events. The Club's annual dues are designed to cover overhead expenses, newsletters, and mailings, while race entry fees help fund trophies and event socials. To keep costs low, Gbca relies heavily on the volunteer efforts of its members, who contribute their skills and expertise in various areas such as legal advice, technical support, and event coordination. Whether you're an experienced sailor or new to the world of yacht racing, Gbca offers a welcoming community and exciting racing opportunities. Join Gbca and be a part of the legacy and tradition of this esteemed organization, where the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of fellow sailors come together on the beautiful Galveston Bay.
