GBLS, or Greater Boston Legal Services, is a brand that provides critical legal assistance to low-income individuals, aiming to help them assert their rights and secure the basic necessities of life. With a team of dedicated attorneys and paralegals, GBLS offers a range of services and systemic advocacy to benefit poor families and individuals. They focus on various areas, including family law, employment, housing, immigration, disability, and consumer rights.

Their impactful work includes improving laws related to custody, visitation, and restraining orders for battered women, advocating for better access to public transportation for individuals with disabilities, protecting victims of persecution seeking asylum, and fighting for increased wages for low-wage workers. However, despite their tremendous efforts, many deserving clients are turned away each day due to a lack of resources. GBLS plays a vital role in the social service delivery system and serves as a referral agency for clients with legal needs.
