Greater Boston Morehouse, founded in 1972 by Dr. Louis Sullivan, is the leading chapter of Morehouse College alumni in the Greater Boston area. Committed to educational development, they offer scholarship and mentorship programs to Boston-area students, creating a sustainable pipeline between Morehouse College and Greater Boston. The GBMCAA aims to cultivate a culture of scholarship and a community of mentorship. They provide mentorship and internship programs for local students, as well as full and partial scholarships to Boston-area students attending Morehouse College. Additionally, they facilitate career opportunities for graduates in Boston. With over 200 active members, the majority of whom are African American male professionals or graduate students, the GBMCAA actively supports Boston and surrounding communities through mentoring, scholarships, and long-standing relationships. Their dedication to excellence is exemplified by Benjamin E. Mays' quote: Whatever you do, strive to do it so well that no man living and no man dead and no man yet to be born could do it any better.
