Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa

Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa (GPFA) is a registered NGO founded in 2012 by Leymah Gbowee, a Liberian peace activist and Nobel Peace Laureate. Our mission is to create a peaceful and empowered future generation in Liberia. We focus on providing opportunities in three key areas: Education, Leadership, and Community Empowerment.

Through our education programs, we strive to improve access to quality education and promote lifelong learning. In the leadership area, we equip women and youth with the skills and knowledge needed to become effective leaders in their communities. Our community empowerment initiatives aim to enhance the well-being and resilience of communities, fostering social cohesion and sustainable development.

GPFA also has a USA-based partner, Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa - USA, which supports our efforts and enhances our reach. Together, we are building a network of peacemakers and democracy builders. To stay updated on our work and events, sign up for our newsletter.
