Description

Greenland Climate Research Centre (GCRC) is an internationally recognized research group focused on studying Greenland marine ecosystems and society in the face of climate change. Offering graduate and PhD level courses through the Arctic Science Study Programme (ASSP), GCRC aims to pioneer innovative research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and engage with local communities for a sustainable Arctic future. The ASSP curriculum covers a range of topics such as Arctic safety, sea ice ecology, and climate change impacts on Arctic ecosystems.


GCRC is a department at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, linking natural and social sciences to create collaborative links between institutions and disciplines. With annual funding from the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, GCRC actively seeks additional financial support from international and national funding agencies to further its research initiatives.
