Grand Canyon University (GCU) is a private Christian university that is dedicated to shaping socially responsible and compassionate servant leaders who make a lasting impact on their communities. Through community outreach and ministry programs, GCU provides training and guidance to individuals, so they can utilize their unique talents to serve the Kingdom of God.

One of the standout volunteer experiences at GCU is Habitat for Humanity, where students come together to renovate homes in a nearby neighborhood. This initiative is part of GCU's five-point plan, established in 2015, to revitalize the West Phoenix neighborhood in collaboration with public and private entities.
