## Description

Geborgen Stillen is a breastfeeding support service offering individual, compassionate guidance to mothers and families in Bremen and the surrounding area, including Lilienthal and Osterholz-Scharmbeck. Its approach is needs-oriented, recognizing that every baby, family, and breastfeeding journey is different, and that there is no single “perfect” way to feed or care for a child.

Services include breastfeeding preparation during pregnancy and support after birth, with guidance on latching, positions, infant hunger cues, milk supply, and early weight development. The service also helps address challenges such as painful feeding, breast engorgement, mastitis, nursing strikes, concerns about milk intake, and the use of breastfeeding-friendly supplementation. Additional support covers introducing complementary foods, including baby-led weaning, breastfeeding while working, nursing toddlers, and weaning.

Geborgen Stillen aims to help parents feel more confident and at ease through practical, personalized advice. Whether families are preparing for their first days of breastfeeding or navigating difficulties later on, they can receive support tailored to their questions and circumstances.
