## Description

Haus für Geburt und Gesundheit is a birth centre and integrated health centre in Hamburg, located at Grootsruhe 2 near Burgstraße underground station. Opened in 2022, it aims to support self-determined, active births in a calm setting, with care from a familiar midwifery team at the heart of its work. Its services accompany people through pregnancy, birth and the first year after birth, and also include support with fertility questions, pregnancy loss and pregnancy-related conflicts.

The birth centre offers pregnancy care, birth support and postnatal care, as well as a midwife outpatient clinic by appointment for those planning an out-of-hospital birth or not seeking one. Additional services include consultations for solo pregnant people, acupuncture, taping and courses such as birth preparation, postnatal recovery and baby massage. The health centre provides psychological consultations and counselling, osteopathy and shiatsu. The organisation also hosts information sessions, rents rooms and works to expand health and sexual-health services for girls, women, people with uteruses, partners and families.
