## Description

Gedanopedia is an initiative that serves as the premier encyclopedia of Gdańsk, aiming to preserve and promote the rich cultural and historical heritage of the city. Launched in collaboration with the Gdańsk Foundation, the Gdańsk Museum, and the University of Gdańsk, Gedanopedia provides a comprehensive repository of knowledge encompassing the history of Gdańsk from medieval times to the present day. The platform is enriched by the contributions of students who participate in a postgraduate program in Gdanistics, which awards scholarships allowing them to engage in their studies tuition-free. This collaborative effort fosters the continual updating and expansion of entries within the encyclopedia, ensuring the content remains current and relevant. Notably, as of 2020, the program has successfully graduated 48 scholars committed to advancing Gdańsk's historical narratives. Gedanopedia not only serves as an educational tool but also engages the community in exploring and celebrating Gdańsk's heritage, making it an invaluable resource for both locals and visitors.
