## Description

Geezer Butler is a legendary figure in the world of heavy metal, best known as the bassist and lyricist of Black Sabbath, a band that revolutionized the genre. Born in Birmingham, England, on July 17, 1949, Butler co-founded Black Sabbath in the late 1960s, writing impactful lyrics on themes of the occult, death, and societal issues. The band's self-titled debut and the iconic "Paranoid" established them as pioneers in heavy metal.

Beyond Black Sabbath, Butler has ventured into multiple projects, including his solo work and G//Z/R, where he explores a raw and unfiltered approach to music. He also formed Deadland Ritual in 2019, delivering an exciting blend of hard rock influenced by the rich symbolism of the desert. With numerous albums, collaborations, and live performances, Butler continues to shape the metal landscape, bringing fresh energy to stages worldwide.
