GEM L’élan is a mutual support group for adults with acquired brain injuries in Indre-et-Loire, France. Established in 2016, the association provides a welcoming place where members can meet, share experiences and build social connections. Its community is guided by values of sharing, conviviality and tolerance, and members play a central role in shaping its life: they contribute ideas and choose the activities offered. The group’s program includes a range of activities and is presented through a schedule, giving members opportunities to take part and connect with others. Over time, GEM L’élan has helped foster social and friendship ties among its members. The organization also welcomes people interested in learning more, becoming members or volunteers, or establishing a partnership, and it accepts donations to support its work. Located at 2 rue Hélène Lazareff in Tours, GEM L’élan is open Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It also shares news and information through its website, Facebook page and monthly newsletter.
