## Description

The Gender and Education Association (GEA) is a volunteer-led international intersectional feminist charity established in 1997. Based in the UK, GEA is dedicated to promoting gender equality within and through education, tackling gender stereotyping, sexism, and inequality. With a community of educators, researchers, activists, and artists, GEA actively produces and disseminates critical scholarship on gender and education.

The organization engages in advocacy by raising awareness of policies and practices regarding gender issues in education at various levels. They also inform and influence policymakers to promote educational change. GEA creates networks for sharing information and ideas among educators, managers, and policymakers, fostering collaborative efforts to achieve gender equality in teaching and learning.

Moreover, GEA offers resources, events, and internships aimed at empowering individuals in the education sector to adopt critical pedagogies that champion social justice. Through conferences and initiatives, GEA consistently encourages dialogue on feminist pedagogies and the educational impact of intersectionality.
