## Description

The Cercle Généalogique du Toulois is a French nonprofit association dedicated to helping people explore family history and local heritage. Founded in 1986, it is affiliated with the Cercle Généalogique de Meurthe-et-Moselle and the Union des Cercles Généalogiques Lorrains, and serves 100 communes in the Toulois area. The association welcomes people interested in genealogy, offers guidance in research methods, provides ongoing assistance, and encourages members to share information and make connections.

Its resources include a genealogy database, communal history summaries, records and photographs of historical documents, and tools such as a genealogical recap and a family-tree fan chart generator. Visitors can also consult practical guides on kinship, historical calendars, territorial divisions, and the use of GénéPActes, alongside information on local archives and death records. The association organizes member support through meetings and regular help sessions, and shares research through the Généalogie Lorraine journal, articles, local-history reports, photographs, videos, and events. Its work brings together family research and the history of Toul and Lorraine.
