## Description

Atelier GénéLibramont is a genealogy organization that makes a wide range of research resources available to its members and supports people exploring family and local history. Its ExpoActes database brings together transcriptions of civil-registration records and parish registers, contributed by members through their research. It contains more than 101,000 records, most relating to Belgium’s Province of Luxembourg, and is accessible to GénéLibramont members.

The organization’s broader collections include more than 933,000 references, covering records about individuals, photographs and other visual materials, documents, places, lists, and research aids. Examples include death notices, funeral cards, military files, historical marriage records, records of foreign residents, family genealogies, postcards, maps, and dictionaries of names and occupations. Some databases or information are restricted to members.

Atelier GénéLibramont also holds a genealogy workshop on the second Saturday of each month. New researchers can learn methods for tracing ancestors and family origins, while experienced genealogists can pursue their own investigations and seek guidance or peer support on difficult research questions.
