The Institute of General Semantics, founded by Alfred Korzybski in 1938, is a pivotal not-for-profit organization based in New York City dedicated to exploring the intricacies of language, thought, and behavior through the lens of general semantics. The institute offers an extensive array of activities, including the esteemed Alfred Korzybski Memorial Lecture Series, periodic conferences, and seminars designed for both introductory and advanced learners. Through its publishing arm, the New Non-Aristotelian Library, the institute produces a variety of books, guides, and anthologies on general semantics, available in their online store. Additionally, the quarterly journal ETC: A Review of General Semantics provides ongoing research and discourse to enhance comprehension of this multidisciplinary field. The Institute also acknowledges excellence through several prestigious awards, including the S. I. Hayakawa Book Prize and the J.
