## Description

**Generation Wild** is an innovative campaign launched in 2017 by Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) aimed at reconnecting children with the great outdoors. Recognizing that today’s kids spend less than seven minutes a day playing outside, the initiative fosters a movement that emphasizes the significance of outdoor activity for children's mental, physical, and emotional development. 

Generation Wild features a variety of engaging programs and resources designed for families, including the popular "100 Things to Do Before You’re 12" list, which encourages kids to explore nature through activities like hiking, swimming, and fort building. The campaign has successfully mobilized over 250 partner organizations and inspired a significant shift in awareness among parents regarding the benefits of outdoor play. 

By offering practical parenting strategies, idea lists, and the Generation Wild Library, the campaign aims to nurture a generation of outdoor enthusiasts and environmental stewards. With a mission to enhance children's experiences in nature, Generation Wild is paving the way for families to forge a stronger connection with the outdoors.
