## Description

Genesis was a digital asset financial services brand focused on connecting institutional investors with cryptocurrency markets. Its stated offerings included spot trading, derivatives, borrowing and hedging, presented as ways for institutions to access digital assets at global scale. The company’s website also featured company information, market insights, quarterly reports, newsroom updates, careers and client support, reflecting its institutional and research-oriented focus.

Genesis’s business status has since changed significantly. On January 19, 2023, certain Genesis entities filed voluntary cases under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Genesis Global Trading, Inc. is identified on the website as no longer an active business. The site directs visitors seeking information about the proceedings and updates to the Genesis Restructuring Website, and provides a support email for assistance. Accordingly, the trading, borrowing and hedging services described in its brand messaging should be understood as historical offerings, not as confirmation that these services are currently available. The brand’s public materials combine its former institutional digital asset focus with notices about restructuring and business status.
