GA4GH is the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health, a not-for-profit organization formed in 2013. Our mission is to unlock the power of genomic data to benefit human health. We have brought together more than 500 leading organizations from various sectors, including healthcare, patient advocacy, research, ethics, government, life science, and information technology. At GA4GH, we work towards advancing human health through the responsible use of genomic data.

We develop technical standards, policy frameworks, and tools that promote the secure and voluntary use of genomic and related health data. Our products are always free and open-source, catering to different needs such as cloud genomics, data discovery, user access, data security, and regulatory policy. To achieve our goals, we have various initiatives, including study groups, work streams, implementation forums, national initiatives forums, and communities of interest. We rely on the expertise and collaboration of our community members, which include organizational members, driver projects, strategic partners, assigned experts, and individual contributors.
