## Description

GenSpectrum is an interactive platform for scientists and public health professionals to explore, query, and analyze pathogen genomic data. Developed by a core team based in the cEvo and CBG groups at ETH Zurich and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, it brings together data and analysis tools for a broad range of pathogens. Users can investigate sequencing efforts, analyze individual variants, compare variants with one another or against a baseline, browse collections, and explore available data.

The platform covers SARS-CoV-2, influenza viruses, RSV, West Nile virus, mpox, Ebola, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, dengue, measles, and other pathogens. It also provides Swiss wastewater dashboards for SARS-CoV-2 and RSV, alongside non-interactive RSV and influenza data. GenSpectrum uses sequence data from the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration and Pathoplexus. Its open-source code and customizable components are available on GitHub, enabling others to build their own dashboards. The resource is supported by ETH Zurich, the US CDC’s Office of Advanced Molecular Detection, and NIH funding through the Pathogen Data Network.
