Founded in 1999 by Ellie Laks and joined by Jay Weiner in 2002, The Gentle Barn provides a safe haven for nearly 200 animals on their six-acre paradise in Santa Clarita, CA, with additional locations in Nashville, Tennessee, and St. Louis, Missouri. Their ultimate goal is to open Gentle Barns in every state, fostering empathy and connection between humans and animals while promoting equal rights, respect, and freedom for all.
