## Description

GeoWiki V2 is a Danish online reference dedicated to geocaching, the outdoor activity that combines navigation technology with exploring nature. The site describes itself as a recreation of the original GeoWiki, built from Wegge’s earlier work, with additional pages added over time. Its purpose is to help newcomers and experienced geocachers understand the activity and take part confidently.

The resource explains how to find caches using a GPS receiver, smartphone or other GPS-enabled device, along with cache descriptions and coordinates sourced from geocaching.com or alternative services. It covers the typical cache experience, including signing a paper logbook, exchanging small items where applicable, returning the container to its hiding place and recording the visit online.

GeoWiki V2 offers practical guides on choosing GPS equipment, finding and logging caches and events, handling trackables, hiding caches, measuring coordinates, using maps and creating Pocket Queries. It also includes guidance on tools and platforms such as GSAK, c:geo, Linux and Macintosh, plus links to geocaching resources in other countries.
