## Description

The Geological Collections Group (GCG) is a specialist group of the Geological Society of London and a registered charitable incorporated organisation. It brings together people interested in geological collections, with membership open to all at a reasonably priced annual fee. The group supports engagement with geological collections through its publications, events, resources and member activities.

Members can access Geological Curator, the group’s journal, including current and recent articles on collections, mineralogy, fossils, palaeontology and the history of geology. Journal issues are provided by email, with higher-resolution downloads available through the member area; members can also choose print or electronic delivery. The website offers previous journal volumes, full-text search, a Coprolite newsletter, member downloads and practical resources such as a leaflet.

The GCG also shares news and blog content, lists events and grants, and invites members to contribute to its committee. No specific experience is required for committee involvement, and training is available.
