# Geologenlauf - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `geologenlauf.de` ## Description Steinheimer Geologenlauf is an annual community running event organized by the athletics department of TV Steinheim in Steinheim am Albuch, Germany. Set in the distinctive Steinheim meteorite crater basin, the event welcomes participants of different ages and abilities, from young runners and beginners to experienced athletes and teams. The 36th edition is scheduled for 8 November 2026, with the newly built Wentalhalle serving as a central venue. The program offers several ways to take part: children’s races over 1,000 or 1,500 metres, a 5-kilometre fitness run, the established 10-kilometre Geologenlauf, and a 7-kilometre walking or Nordic walking course. Minimum ages vary by event, starting at six for the children’s races.
