## Description

The Swiss Geologists’ Day is a professional event organized every four years by the Swiss Association of Geologists (CHGEOL). In 2025, its seventh edition took place alongside the Swiss Geoscience Meeting in Bern, creating a larger platform for exchange across the geoscience community. The event brings together geologists from industry and academia, alongside service providers, suppliers, students and other professionals.

Its programme combines a specialist exhibition with scientific sessions, poster presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. Exhibitors can present their products and services to a broad industry audience, while participants can explore developments across fields including natural hazards, hydrogeology, remote sensing and talent development. Organized speed interviews also help employers meet students and identify potential recruits.

The 2025 event addressed sustainable and equitable resource exploration within planetary boundaries, including the role of geoscience in the energy transition and responsible access to critical materials. By connecting practical expertise with current research, the Swiss Geologists’ Day supports professional networking, knowledge sharing and discussion of emerging challenges in geology.
