## Description

The Asociación Geológica Argentina (AGA) is a prominent non-profit organization established on June 30, 1945, dedicated to the advancement of geological sciences in Argentina. Based in Buenos Aires, AGA serves as a unifying body for geology professionals across the country, aiming to foster scientific research and enhance the understanding of Argentina's diverse geological landscape.

The association actively participates in international collaborations, being a member of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) once again after a lengthy hiatus. AGA emphasizes the importance of geological education and research, providing platforms for sharing knowledge through its publications, including journals focused on geological topics relevant to Argentina and South America.

Members of AGA benefit from a wealth of resources, including newsletters and exclusive access to geoscience events such as geological congresses and workshops. The organization is pivotal in promoting geotourism initiatives, thus contributing to the broader appreciation of Argentina's geological heritage. Join AGA to connect with fellow geoscientists and further your profession in this dynamic field.
