## Description

Geologiliitto is a Finnish professional and advocacy association serving geologists and promoting the interests of the geological profession. Founded in 1952, it works to improve the professional opportunities available to geologists and to strengthen the visibility of their expertise and perspectives in society. The association also acts as a domestic point of contact for applications for the European Geologist licence, helping people learn about the qualification and its application process. Its website provides information about membership, the European Geologist designation, association activities, and current events. Geologiliitto organises gatherings for its members, including an annual meeting and social events, and has offered guidance sessions about applying for the Eurogeologist title in collaboration with the Geological Section of VMY. Through these activities, the association connects professionals, shares relevant information, and supports the recognition of geology and geologists in Finland. Geologiliitto is a registered association, known as Geologiliitto ry, and communicates with members and the public through its website and social media.
