## Description

Geologischer Service is the geotechnical and geological consultancy of Diplom-Geologe Michael Herzig, a consulting geoscientist and member of BDG, based in Arnsberg, Germany. The business supports construction projects with ground investigations and practical advice to help clients understand site conditions before purchasing land or planning a build. Its Baugrundgutachten (ground assessment reports) provide information architects, structural engineers and developers need for safe project planning, including analysis of soil layers, bearing capacity and groundwater influences. The service also addresses hydrogeological questions and potential contaminated land. Where contamination is suspected, Geologischer Service can conduct investigations and prepare a risk assessment or remediation plan, depending on the type and extent of pollution. For suitable sites, it provides evidence and calculations to assess whether rainwater can be infiltrated on the property, including sizing recommendations for infiltration systems. The consultancy serves clients throughout Germany and offers guidance on selecting the appropriate investigation. Its work helps identify potential ground-related risks early, support informed decisions and improve control over construction planning and costs.
