## Description

Quarterly of Geographical Research is an open-access, online, peer-reviewed academic journal owned by the Papoli Asian Development Research Institute and published by the Afarand Scholarly Publishing Institute. Established in 1986, it has published more than 1,000 articles and releases four issues each year. The journal promotes research and the exchange of scholarly findings in geography and related fields, including urban and rural planning, political, physical and economic geography. Its readership includes researchers, specialists and academic and research institutions in Iran and internationally.

The journal publishes research articles and provides resources for authors, including submission instructions, author and reference guides, and information about publication ethics, peer review, open access and fees. Its website also offers current and archived issues, articles in press, browsing by author or keyword, and abstracts of recent studies. The journal has traditionally published Persian full texts with English abstracts and expanded abstracts; beginning in 2026, it is publishing full texts in both Persian and English.
