## Description

GERE Global, or Girls for Environmental Resilience and Empowerment, is an organization based in Lagos, Nigeria, working to empower girls and strengthen communities through climate action. It partners with schools, local communities, and organizations to help girls develop the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills to advance sustainability and environmental resilience.

Its programs include climate education and eco-literacy through school initiatives, eco-clubs, and community learning. GERE Global also provides training, mentorship, and advocacy opportunities, enabling girls to speak up on climate justice, gender equity, and sustainability. Participants are supported in turning ideas into practical community projects, including tree planting, clean-water initiatives, and solar empowerment.

The organization connects local efforts with broader movements through partnerships with schools, NGOs, and UN bodies. Its work also includes community projects led by girls and efforts to fund education, clean energy, and climate resilience programs in vulnerable communities. Through these services, GERE Global aims to develop a generation of eco-leaders who can help restore ecosystems, inspire collective solutions, and build a greener, fairer, and more resilient future.
