## Description

The German-American Steuben Parade New York is an organization dedicated to celebrating German heritage and culture in New York City. Its flagship event, the annual Steuben Parade, brings together community groups, marching divisions, bands, and supporters for a procession on Fifth Avenue. The organization also shares the parade’s history and highlights its participants, including German-American associations and groups such as the Doberman Gang of NYC.

Beyond the parade, the organization offers opportunities to take part through marching, sponsorship, donations, and event tickets. Its calendar and activities include a parade gala, Oktoberfest, and MaiFest, which has featured Miss German-America and her court. The website provides news, scholarship announcements, photos, videos, and live broadcasts, allowing audiences to follow events and explore past celebrations. It also offers a shop and mailing-list sign-up, and welcomes support for its work. Through these events and resources, the organization connects communities, honors German-American traditions, and invites people to celebrate and share their heritage.
